Small Business Saturday has become a national institution. With the migration of Black Friday from the big box stores to our phones and computers, Small Business Saturday remains as the only big shopping day that still encourages people to go into physical stores to support their local business communities. I was honored to get the opportunity to write and direct this video made up mostly of footage American Express already owned. So while the assignment may have been limiting, it was fun to find ways to work within those limits. In advertising, we don’t always get the budget we want. It’s up to we creatives to make the most of what the client gives us.
